Meet Michelle: the person behind your booking

A little about who'll be planning your trip, and why I do it the way I do.

Hi! I'm Michelle, a travel planner with Click the Mouse Travel. If you're thinking about booking a cruise through Click & Cruise, I'm the person on the other end. Here's a little about me.

Home base: Newfoundland

I live in Torbay, Newfoundland, with my husband John and our two teenagers. I'm originally from Ontario, but I married a Newfoundlander, and after living coast to coast we chose to raise our family here. If you can survive a Newfoundland winter, you can survive anything. It also explains why so many of my clients are dreaming of somewhere warm by February.

Before travel, I was an Early Childhood Educator, and I've worked with children for more than 25 years. Planning a family vacation turns out to use a lot of the same skills: patience, organization, and thinking about what actually works for every age in the group.

How I got here

During the pandemic, a cruise we'd booked was cancelled, and I had to rebook it. I didn't really need help, but Click the Mouse offered onboard credit on Disney cruise bookings, so I figured, why not? After a few emails, my agent saw how much I loved Disney cruising and suggested I join the team.

That was October 2020. Six years later, planning trips is my full-time passion.

What six years looks like

  • Almost 1,500 vacation bookings for more than 650 families
  • Over 600 Walt Disney World vacations and more than 250 Disney cruises
  • Families across Canada and into the U.S., with most right here in Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Part of a Disney Platinum EarMarked agency, recognized by Disney for sales, expertise and service

The number that means the most to me: most of the trips I book each year are for families who've travelled with me before, or were sent my way by someone who did.

I go so you know

I travel a lot, and it's not all vacation. I've sailed on Disney's newest ships in their first weeks, crossed the Atlantic on a Disney ship, cruised Alaska from Vancouver, and taken Adventures by Disney trips to Peru and Greece. When my clients started asking about Alaska, I went myself so I could answer from experience, not a brochure.

My specialty is Disney: Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Adventures by Disney. I also book Universal, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian, Disneyland Paris, and all-inclusive getaways.

How I work

  • Honest information, no clickbait. If something changes, I'll tell you what actually changed and who it affects. If there's a catch, I'll tell you that too.
  • I keep checking after you book. When a new promotion comes out, I go through my existing bookings and apply savings wherever they qualify.
  • I'll tell you when to splurge and when to skip. Value matters more to me than selling you extras.
  • A real person in your corner. When a flight is cancelled or plans change, you have someone to call.
  • My service doesn't cost you extra. You pay the same price as booking directly, plus you get my onboard credit offer on Disney cruises.

Let's plan something

Whether you're dreaming about your first Disney cruise or your fifth, I'd love to help. Find a sailing here, save it to your favourites and send it to me, and I'll take it from there, booked through me of course.
